  • Historic Tällbergskrus pattern

This exclusive linen tablecloth is meticulously crafted with precision and tradition, woven according to old techniques that have been passed down through generations. Available in two sizes, it brings timeless elegance and functionality to your table. Carefully crafted by the skilled artisans at Insjöns Väveri, this tablecloth showcases the "Tällbergskrus" pattern in a clean white with soft light grey stripes and a broad decorative border. This is one of Insjön's oldest and most revered patterns, tracing back to the mid-17th century and rooted in the village of Tällberg in northern Leksand.

The Tällbergskrus design is composed of premium Belgian linen and Egyptian cotton, blended for resilience, absorbency, and a soft touch. This unique textile is finished with a twisted, bleached cotton warp that gives it added durability and a subtly refined look, ensuring it remains beautiful with every use.

Whether for a casual meal or a formal setting, it provides a beautiful backdrop that honours Swedish heritage with each thread.

TRACEABILITY

Insjöns Väveri
Insjöns Väveri was founded in 1947 by Ivar Hollstein in the town of Insjön in Dalarna. There, Insjöns Väveri manufactures quality tablecloths, napkins, and towels in linen and cotton according to old techniques, as close to handwoven as you can get by machine. In the traditional machinery park, most things are the same as before. The tireless looms, some of them nearly 100 years old, were far from new when the business started and still weave perfectly. Thanks to them, Insjöns Väveri can continue to produce textiles with unique character and quality, exactly according to old handloom originals.
