Side pockets and inside pockets
Bomber jackets were first made for US Army Aviation Clothing Board pilots in 1917, to keep them warm in open-air cockpits during the First World War. This wool version is woven by the Italian mill Menchi, with a RIRI zipper closing two-way on a leather puller strap. The 1x1 ribbed collar, hem and cuffs echo the original flight-jacket shape, and the interior is fully lined. Side pockets sit with edge stitching, and two inside welt pockets, cut from the same shell fabric, close with hidden press buttons.
