Next level comfort
What’s the ultimate wardrobe essential? Clue: It’s versatile enough to be worn at any time any day of the year… We’re talking about the classic crew neck sweatshirt. The original sweatshirt was invented in 1926 by an american football player named Benjamin Russell Jr. and just like so many times before, it all started with the pursuit of comfort. Russell was tired of itchy wool jerseys so he started thinking about something cooler…Conveniently enough his dad, Benjamin Russel, owned a clothing company (perhaps you’ve heard of Russel Athletic…?). The rest is, as we all know, history. The cotton sweatshirt became the hoodie, the sweatpants, and the sweatshorts. Today, these sporty classics are everyday essentials suitable for almost all occasions and people. The Singular Society loopback jersey collection is made from a combination of recycled (30%) and organic cotton (70%), with a peached, smooth surface. Super soft loopback knit on the inside (the name comes from the traditional knitting machine ”loopwheel”) creates a fabric that is both lighter and more resistant to pilling than traditional fleece. Cozy up with a whole set or wear them one at a time. These garments take comfort to the next level.
Our loopback hoodie has a top applied front pocket and silver metal cord ends. The fit is not too tight nor is it oversized, which allows you to wear it under any light jacket, and if you prefer a more generous fit, just go up in size.
These loopback sweatpants have an elastic rib waistband with drawcord and silver metal cord ends. Relaxed rib cuff at the bottom leg, two front pockets and a back pocket with rounded edges.
Our version of the classic crew neck sweatshirt has a traditional raglan sleeve, regular fit and wrap around rib collar. Regular fit and true to size, if you prefer a more generous fit, just go up in size.
These cotton-jersey sweatshorts have an elastic rib waistband with drawcord and silver metal cord ends, two slanted front pockets and (for the men’s version) one patch pocket with rounded edges in the back.
