BUILDING THE FALL 2026 COLLECTION
A conversation with Camilla Bay – Singular Society's category manager for clothing and accessories – on cashmere, modern archetypes and what she'll be wearing herself this season.

How would you describe the thinking behind the fall collection, and what's the starting point for your designs?
– Fall is my favourite season to work with because I really like the shift going from summer and into materials like cashmere, heavier wool and outerwear. The starting point is always the same for us: what are the pieces people actually need and want, and how do we make them better?
Singular talks about modern archetypes. What does that mean in practice?
– It means we're not reinventing anything, we only elevate and adopt them to the best possible version for our times. A crewneck is a crewneck. A trench coat is a trench coat. The question we ask ourselves is how can we make our version the best and most valuable you’ll find. Better material, better fit and so on.

What are the key materials this fall?
– Always pure, high-quality fibers like cashmere and wool. This season we've expanded our range of brushed cashmere as well. It's softer, warmer, and our members love the material.
How do you balance timelessness with newness each season?
– New colours, details and updated silhouettes. That’s how we keep the collection timeless while still making each season feel fresh and relevant.
Is there a piece you're particularly proud of?
– I’m particularly proud of our range of brushed cashmere. It’s been a growing category for several seasons, and we’ve put a lot of work into developing new products, fits, and colours. I think we're at a point now where there's something for everyone in it.

A smaller, more considered category – What does a Singular fall wardrobe actually look like?
– Knitwear as the foundation. A good pair of denim jeans, and one everyday outerwear piece. The accessories come last, but they matter more than people think.
What will you wear yourself this season?
– Knitwear in general, obviously, with the risk of repeating myself. But the Double-Breasted Wool Doublé Coat is the one I'm looking forward to most.
