This exclusive mortar and pestle is made from warm grey Milano marble. It offers dynamism to any kitchen thanks to the chromatic balance between dark background and thin snow lines that run through it. Mortar and pestle originate from the stone age, used for crushing and grinding ingredients into a fine paste or powder. Warm grey Milano marble is a superior material for these tools as it will not only look beautiful, but use its heavy weight to break down the ingredients, and at the same time be able to withstand years of pounding and grinding in your kitchen.
The Singular Marble Mortar and Pestle has sharp edges with a smooth and round shape of the pestle. The tones of the base move very subtly between carbons and graphite and the alternation between very fine white streaks and barely perceptible slate coloured glazes provide animation and style.
